This course is being organised and run at Ashen E.C with Veterinary Physiotherapist Sue Palmer.

Sue's expertise allows her to help you and your horse, with over 30 years of experience with horses, based in Staffordshire, Sue works freelance offering a variety of physiotherapy courses and demonstrations.

Sue is exceptionally well qualified to teach this course, with her experience in both massage and physiotherapy work, and it is one of her favourite courses to teach.

  • MSc Veterinary Physiotherapy through the Royal Veterinary College
  • ACPAT Category A
  • MCSP
  • EBW

  • The course consists of -
  • Some theory
  • Some practical human to human work

(Learning the techniques with feedback from another person is an important part of developing the skills)

  • Learning about the muscles on the horse that you will be working with
  •          and chalking them onto the horse,
  • Putting together a full simple routine for daily / weekly / monthly use
  •          with your own horse.

There are comprehensive handouts, including laminated sheets (pictorial and written) to take in the stable with you while you are getting the hang of the routine, and close supervision offered throughout the course.

  • £95 (without horse)
  • £105 (with horse, inc' use of a stable for your horse for the day of and night before.)
  • £10 discount to I.H. and Strider's members
